I have not had time to write a blog for some time now. Spring is always a very busy time for educators! PCHS has had a very momentous week as our community voted to fund a new building project. Needless to say, we are ecstatic! This is a guest blog from our band director, Dan Tripp. He does a feel good friday email to everyone on staff each week. I found this one to be very inspirational……Take it away, Mr. Tripp:
Can you feel it folks! One week from today we FINALLY have our spring break! I hope you all are as excited as I am! Today, I would like to first share how happy I am that we will be receiving new facilities for our students. I hope we have all seen how important it is to give our kids the very best (or the best we can) in order for them to succeed. We are constantly pulling out all the stops for our students. That being said, I would imagine we would go well above and beyond the call for our own children. Now, I might not know what it is like to be a father, but I do know that I can only wish to be as dedicated as this father:
With his handicapped son, Dick Hoyt takes his son Rick along to run an Ironman Competition (and has also ran a marathon with him!). Rick says he “feels like he is doing the same as his dad”. Dick would go to the ends of the earth for his child, how often do we say that about ourselves?
Take care, and help make sure our students stay out of harms way this weekend,
